Paulina Hurwitz BMus, BA, MA

Paulina Hurwitz is a musician, academic and educator. After completing her BMus (Performance) at Kazan State Conservatoire, she moved to the UK where she pursued academic training in Linguistics, completing a BA and a Master's and starting a PhD. As an interdisciplinarian, she takes a research approach to her pianistic work and likes to encourage her students to take a critical interest in the historical conditions of the music they are learning. The performance side of her work draws her to English Baroque, Bach, Schumann, Ravel and Prokofiev and sees her collaborating with other musicians in chamber ensembles.
