Google Classrooms

We are very pleased to be returning to the studio again this term and hope that is where we will stay! However should anything change and restrictions be implemented during the term (or we get snowed in!) don’t forget our Google Classrooms are the quickest point of reference to access online classes. They are also the place to find pre-recorded classes to do at home should you have to isolate, and we will be adding more of these during the term. HALF TERM: 25TH – 31ST OCTOBER

Just a reminder that there are no classes this week except exam coaching on WEDNESDAY 27TH OCTOBER as follows: 10.00-11.00am Grade 5 11.00-12.00pm Grade 4 12.00-1.00pm Grade 3 1.30-2.30pm Grade 1 2.30-3.30pm Grade 2 3.30-5.00pm Intermediate Katherine will also be in on Wednesday running the shop in the downstairs studio for all of your exam uniform needs.

Summer Workshops

Although we are unable to run our normal musical theatre summer school again this year, we are very pleased to offer our students the opportunity to keep dancing with workshops in both Canterbury and Ashford. In Canterbury Miss Jessica will be running her popular ballet and contemporary workshops every Tuesday and Thursday in August for all age groups up to adults. Return to in-studio classes for over 18 years

Following today’s government announcement we are happy to confirm that we will be able to resume our adult classes in-studio from next week (17th May)! For the remainder of this term we will continue to run the following adult classes that we have been running since September: Body Conditioning – Wednesdays at 10.00-11.00am Adult Ballet 1 – Wednesdays at 12.15-1.15pm Adult Ballet 2 – Wednesdays at 1.30-2.30pm Adult Ballet – Fridays at 8.00-9.00pm All of the adult ballet classes continue to be mixed ability classes at the moment. Return to in-studio classes

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday we are now pleased to confirm that we are able to welcome students back in to the studio after Easter! At the start of term (Friday 16th April) we are able to resume face to face classes for any school pupils  including those who are in year 13 and have had their 18th birthday. Anyone aged 18 years and over should be able to return after 17th May (government updates allowing). Classes for those over 18 years will continue to run online until this time. Class Update – 8th March

We are continuing to follow the latest Government guidance and will be continuing to provide online classes until we are allowed to return to in-studio classes safely. If the government’s roadmap out of lockdown runs to its anticipated schedule then we hope to be able to welcome our dancers who are under 18 years of age back to the studio after the Easter break (after 12th April), and our pupils aged 18 years and over back to face to face classes after 17th May. FEBRUARY PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION RESULTS

A big thank you to everyone who entered our photographic competition. We have not only been delighted by the number of entries we have received but also amazed at the incredible standard of the photos! We are very impressed by the effort and creativity that has gone into them which has made it an incredibly hard decision to choose our winners, so much so that we have decided to award everyone that entered with a little gift from us to say well done!   After a great deal of deliberation we have decided on our winning entries….   1st place...

Dancers In Pyjamas Week (8th-14th February)

Don’t forget this coming week (Monday 8th-Sunday 15th February) is Dancers in Pyjamas week at Dance Warehouse and you can wear your pyjamas and onesies for all of your dance classes! Please don’t forget to wear your usual dance footwear though too! At Dance Warehouse we are proud to have supported Delmelza in the past through our fundraising at our biennial summer performances. Sadly due to the Covid pandemic we were unable to hold our show last July so we hope that our ‘Dancers in Pyjamas’ week can go a little way to helping this fantastic cause instead. So many...
